How much does ibs-smart cost?
When ordering ibs-smart through the online prescriber service, ibs-smart is $249. An itemized bill is provided for you to file an insurance claim. If it is determined that the test is not right for you, you will be refunded the full cost of the test.
When ordering through your healthcare provider, ibs-smart is $249 without insurance. An insurance claim is filed on your behalf, and you are responsible for the balance not covered by your insurance plan.
Is ibs-smart covered by insurance?
ibs-smart is covered at least in part by many common insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Please note the online prescriber service is prepaid and may not be covered by Medicare or Medicaid. If you would like to use your Medicare or Medicaid coverage, please work with your local provider.
I have Medicare. Am I covered?
The test is covered by Medicare and Medicaid, and we do not bill Medicare or Medicaid patients any balances other than co-pays and co-insurances (if applicable). If a Medicare patient has a secondary insurance plan, we will bill both plans.
